In class we did an activity to strengthen our understanding of rhetoric. We viewed the campaign ads of Tom Corbett and Tom Wolfe. In this blog post I will respond to and analyze each campaign ad and think of possible research questions for each.
Tom Corbett:
In this ad Tom Corbett is trying to persuade the people to vote for him. He is the only person you see on this ad. The only bases that he touches on our money, money and more money. Although taxes are a big part of the reason that people vote for a certain candidate I think that there are other issues to be focused on besides the monetary portion
Tom Wolf:
In this ad Tom Wolfe is trying to persuade people to vote for him. He touches on many subjects. He shows that he is a family man and that he is for the hard-working individuals in this country. He wants to try to help the working middle class.
Research questions:
1. What are each candidates views on education?
2. Go back to Corbetts older ad campaigns and see of he actually has done what he promises to do.
